I am customer of capital one and have a lot of knowledge about the company and they never ask for personal information. Capital One is a financial institution that provides banking, credit cards, and other financial services. The company has been in operation since 1994 and is headquartered in McLean, Virginia.Capital One offers a variety of products to consumers and businesses. These include credit cards, home loans, auto loans, personal loans, student loans, small business loans and commercial banking services.
The company also offers investment products such as mutual funds and retirement accounts. Capital One is the sixth largest bank in the United States by assets. It has more than 7 million customers across the United States with branches in 39 states plus Washington D.C., Canada and the United Kingdom. In 2017 Capital One was ranked #1 on Fortune’s list of “100 Best Companies to Work For”. I have received a lot of spam calls pretending to be from capital one but can recognize each call whether legit or scam so only you have to look whether the caller ask for any personal information and if yes then it is pure scam.
Capital One has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately. Scammers are posing as Capital One employees and calling unsuspecting victims. They then request that the victim call a number back to verify their identity. This is a scam and Capital One does not ask for personal information over the phone.
Capital One representatives will never ask you to call them back from a number that you don’t recognize, or give out your personal information over the phone. If you receive such a call, please hang up and contact Capital One at 800-435-1415 or by emailing customer care at [email protected]
This number has called me four times without leaving a voice message. I have blocked the number after finding a lot of spam reports.
It’s a robocall from Linda, and she wants to talk about something with my Capital One Back account, which I don’t have. She provided a callback number, so I tried calling it, but it was marked as unknown after ringing for a while.
I received a similar robocall, but the company changed from capital one to Walmart and they wanted to discuss something new about my business account which I do have with Walmart. The call back number they provided ends in 6000, so I suspect it is not from Walmart and is a spam call from Indian spammers. Blocked it for further fake business inquiries.
