8553376884 – Edfinancial Direct Loans

I received a phone call from Edfinancial Direct Loans. I was not expecting the call, but when I answered the phone, the person on the other end said he is from Edfinancial Direct Loans and that he had called me because of my credit score.

He claimed that the company said that I had been pre-approved for a loan of $10,000 and that I could stop by their office to sign paperwork or have them mail me all the documents needed to get started. When I asked for more information about this “pre-approval,” it sounded like there was a long pause on the other end of the line. Finally, he asked me if I wanted to “come in.”

I’m not sure what he meant by “come in,” but it sounded like he wanted me to come into their office so they could take my money or something – which just made me more suspicious.

They called me today and did not mention that they are from Edfinancial. It was a robocall and they were asking for payment of my student loan. Now, first thing, I don’t have a student loan account and i have never thought of apply for loan.
